The MP4/4 is one of the most dominant cars in F1 history, and LEGO® put Senna in the cockpit — but the model itself doesn't quite match the legend it's trying to honor.
Is the price fair?BFair for the IP, but you're paying for Senna's name as much as the bricks.
Will you love it?C-The tribute lands emotionally; the build itself is more underwhelming than the legend deserves.
Holds its value?B+Strong IP and a beloved subject give this real staying power after retirement.

The Full Take
Few cars carry the mythological weight of the McLaren MP4/4: 15 wins from 16 races, Senna at his peak, a season that still doesn't feel real. LEGO® clearly felt the gravity of that story, and the Senna minifig is a genuinely touching tribute. The problem is the model around it — 693 pieces at this scale produces something that looks more like a display curiosity than a showstopper. It's not a bad set, but it's competing with the memory of something extraordinary, and it doesn't always clear that bar. At $79.99 the price is defensible, and the IP alone will keep secondary market interest warm. Buy it for what it represents, just don't expect the build to carry the same electricity as the story.
