Rivendell is the rare LEGO® set that earns its reputation before you even open the box — the name alone carries weight, and the finished model delivers on it with sweeping elven architecture, layered terracing, and enough detail to reward a long second look. Twenty-one minifigs covering the Fellowship and key Rivendell characters is a roster that LEGO® has never come close to matching in a single set. The build itself is a marathon, and while some sections lean repetitive, the overall composition is cohesive in a way that big modular sets sometimes aren't. At $499.99 for this scale and this IP, the price lands fair — not a bargain-bin steal, but not the eye-watering ask you might fear from a flagship Icons release.
