The Adidas Superstar collab was a flex when it dropped — a full-scale iconic sneaker rendered in plastic bricks, shell toe and all. The build has some genuinely clever techniques around the sole curvature and lace detailing, and if you're a sneaker collector crossover fan, the novelty hits different. But at $80, LEGO® is charging a premium for the brand name more than the set itself — 731 pieces for a single decorative shoe is a lot to ask. It sits in an awkward category: too display-specific to play with, too niche to gift broadly, and not quite striking enough to anchor a shelf the way the Botanical sets do. The collab novelty fades fast once it's built, and it rarely moves secondhand for anything exciting. A C overall feels right — it's not a disaster, but it's not a must-build either.
