The London Bus is a handsome shelf piece that LEGO® priced into awkward territory — too expensive to recommend casually, too iconic to dismiss.

The Full Take
The double-decker silhouette is undeniably strong — this thing looks right from across the room. But $139.99 for a set with zero minifigs and no interior worth talking about is a tough sell in 2017 dollars. The build has its moments: curved red bodywork, a functional staircase, rotating destination boards. That said, the experience plateaus early and never really surprises you. Creator Expert sets live and die by their finishing details, and the London Bus lands somewhere in the middle — presentable, not exceptional. Modest secondary market gains keep it from being a total pass for the patient buyer, but don't go in expecting a crown jewel.
